Birthday Time

15 years ago on Halloween, Keion made his appearance into this world.
Life hasn't been the same since.
He really is a great kid despite the countless times his parents have tried to ruin him! Oh the therapy he will need.
Of course he had to "find" his gifts that Kylan hid all over the house.

Keion was pretty happy with his birthday and it was over all very low key.
We told him next year for his 16th we would really party.
Henry stopped by on Halloween too. He was a legit doctor with pager and all. He is just getting so cute!

Soccer

Keion played soccer for the freshman team this year.
I am not being biased when I say he was the best player on his team and proved it when he got a concussion and had to sit out for over a week.
His team had one tie and no losses at the beginning of the season and then when he was out they didn't win a game.
They played those teams again when Keion was back and they beat them! Don't get me wrong, there were other good players but Keion was the force of the team and the leading scorer.
He became notorious for last minute headers to win the game. In the final game he literally scored with 1 second left and then got a yellow card for running to midfield and with his teammates and acting like they were sitting in a boat and started rowing.
I guess it could have been seen as poor sportsmanship but we thought it was awesome! It was the perfect ending to a great season.

We have fallen in love with soccer and enjoy watching Keion play.
He is now playing for his NPL team and will be going to a tournament in Alabama the beginning of March. Unfortunately I will be stuck home waiting for the baby to come. BOOO, I love tournaments and going somewhere new. Hopefully they will have a couple more after the little one arrives and we can all go.
Keion also made the freshmen basketball team and has his first game Tues. They should be pretty good and yes, he is loaded with sports right now.

Rewind

I have to step back in time for a moment to catch up on the blog.
There have been so many things that have happened that I missed blogging about because I was too sick and then too tired and most recently just too darn lazy to get it done!
Keion started high school this year. I can hardly believe it but I love having him at school with me. He will still give his mamma hugs in the hall and always comes to my room at the end of the day...mainly to take snacks from our snack shack!
Here he is on the first day of school. It was a rough adjustment since he has early morning seminary that starts at 6:00 am. I think he was still partially asleep.

Keion also attended homecoming.
He didn't have a specific date but went with a group of friends and other kids who didn't have dates. We won't allow Keion to date until he is 16. For the most part he is ok with it.
Kylan was being a punk and taking pics of me when I was still looking like death.
I was just barely starting to feel better and thought I was looking fat.
What I would give to look like that now!

Keion's group of friends rented a party bus and that is how they traveled around all night.
I don't know if they had party buses back in my day but if they didn't I didn't know about it because I would have been all over that. The kids had a blast.
I also like how tons of kids here go to the dances with their friends and in groups and they don't have to have a date. I would NEVER have done that in high school.
Keion also missed the memo to wear black pants! He was the most handsome anyway!

Does this make you want to pull out your old dance pictures???
I know I have some doozies that would be entertaining to look at.
