Easter

I am so pathetic. I can't believe I am now just posting about Easter. Wouldn't you know, babies can be so demanding. They just don't care what you have going on or what you need to do! We all had a wonderful Easter. Kylan and I spotted the chocolate bunnies and had to get them. I'm not sure they sold them everywhere but we thought they were so fitting for the Flint area :) Here are some pics of Easter morning. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Here are the kids ready for church. I wish I would have taken a better picture but we were on the verge of being late...still trying to figure out how to adjust to getting a baby ready. Photobucket We had our dear friends, the Fisher's over to help hunt for the golden egg. It is more fun for Keion to have others to go against even though it means he might not get the golden egg. In fact, his buddy Grant found the egg. I didn't think anyone was going to find it because Kylan hid it in the hitch on the back of his truck. But it was found. All the kids had a great time and I am so happy to carry on the tradition that I had when I was growing up. I can't wait to get back to Idaho so I can hunt again! So grateful for fun traditions and reasons to get together with family and friends. Nothing better in my opinion.

Chicago

For spring break we headed to Chicago. We had big plans a year ago of heading somewhere warm. Well the new little addition to the family kept us from doing that. The doc said no way to me or Emory going very far. In the end we were all happy with the little break that we took across the state line. We actually took a train and surprisingly it was a lot of fun. I would like to do it again before we leave Michigan. Photobucket
You know one of the greatest things about Chicago is the FOOD!! We hit a couple really fun places to eat. Photobucket Photobucket
This cow was in the lobby of our hotel. We stayed in the Hilton downtown. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket This is the line to get into the Aquarium. Safe to say we skipped going! Photobucket This is a shot of the outside of our hotel. Photobucket The famous statue of Marilyn Monroe. We caught Keion lookin' up her skirt... No worries she has undies on! Photobucket Emory was such a trooper. We couldn't have asked for her to be any better. She slept non stop and who wouldn't if they were being held that much? I know I would. Saying Emory is spoiled is an understatement! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket More food. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Just more pics of different things around the city. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket For having to change our plans and do something different than what we truly wanted to, Chicago was a hit. The city has some of the best food and shopping. I have a feeling the next time we go back with Emory she too will be carrying around one of those darn American Doll bags. Every little girl in the city had one. Uggghhh!!! Finally we headed home and the only bad thing about being on the train is when it is full and you have to sit next to a crazy lady headed in your same direction. Keion was the fortunate one to sit next to such a gem. This is how he avoided conversation with her... Photobucket If you haven't been to Chicago you must go. I hope my sister comes out and I also want to take my lil bro there to watch a Bulls game, he is loyal fan. Anyone else who wants to come visit I would be happy to ride the train to Chicago with you!!

Baby Blessing

We blessed Emory a week after she was born. This was a little disappointing for two selfish reasons.
1st reason, I was still swollen, huge and looking rough in the pics. 2nd reason, my mother in-law made this beautiful dress (from a pic of a dress I found online!) that Emory was still too small to fit into. Those things were minor compared to the wonderful day we had. Kylan blessed Emory and my dad and brother, Jared, along with some of our dearest friends were able to participate as well. We had about 20+ friends not of our faith come to church to support us. It was awesome! We are so blessed with such wonderful families and great friends. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket After church we had over 50+ people over to celebrate. It was so much fun. My dad grilled and everyone had a great time. The food was soooo yummy and we had way too much left over, didn't help with that above mentioned swollen, huge body I was having! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Keion also earned his Eagle Scout some time back but didn't want to have a ceremony to receive his award. His leader presented him with his medals at the house while everyone was there. Worked out perfect considering anyone who would have come to the ceremony was already at the house. So proud of him!!Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket My only regret is not getting more pics of everyone who was here for Emory's special day. Plus I didn't get a family pic with my family and Emory. My mom and dad got one but we weren't in it and my lil sis and brother were missing as well. The weather was wonderful and it couldn't have turned out more perfectly. Kylan gave a beautiful blessing that I was sobbing through along with several others! He also bore his testimony and had our visiting friends in tears as well. We are all just so thankful for family, friends and now this new little joy in our lives. (Oh ya, several people asked about the blanket...you can't buy it anywhere my mom made it!!)
