Alabama Tournament

Two weekends ago Keion had a tourney in Alabama.
I have never been to Alabama and REALLY wanted to go.
Doc said no way.
Kylan also had to take a required exam that Sat. so he didn't get to go either.
Such a disappointment.
We sent Keion on his way with one of the boys from the team.
He had a great time and lost in the semi-finals.
Our next couple of months are packed with soccer and more tournaments so I am sure we will make up for this one we missed.

February Birthdays

Kylan celebrated another birthday!
We went out to dinner as a family and then had a little celebration with friends the next day.
Nothing too exciting other than he will get golf lessons which I think he is going to enjoy.



Henry also had a birthday.
His 1st birthday...a BIG deal!
Love the theme that Sara put together, she always does a great job hosting and throwing parties.





The next party we have will be when this baby is born.
She just can't come soon enough.
A couple funny things Keion has said.."I don't know why you want her to come 2 weeks early, it is only 2 more weeks you will have to listen to her cry." and the latest.. "She can't be born on St. Patrick's Day (this is when I will be induced if she hasn't arrived on her own by then) because she will have red hair and that would be the worst life ever."
Oh this poor girl, she is doomed from the get go!

Sadies Dance

We do not allow Keion to date.
We think he should wait until he is 16.
He went to Homecoming but solo in a group of all of his friends. It was so much better that way.
Well, one of our good friends called me and begged me to let her daughter ask Keion to Sadies.
We allowed it for many reasons but mainly because Keion and Olivia are just friends.
She asked him to the dance at one of his basketball games.


These two had a blast at dinner, the dance and afterwards.
I tell you, it is so much better going with a group of friends and as friends than any other way.
We met all the other couples and kids going at Woodfield Country Club where we took pics and the kids had dinner.
Why do they make it so the girls flower is so easy but putting the boys on is IMPOSSIBLE?

These two girls are seniors and wanted a pic with Keion.
The one on the right is the sister of one of Keion's best friends and her parents are great friends of ours as well.
Always makes a freshy happy when the seniors give you attention!

In the end, we don't regret letting Keion go to the dance.
All of the kids had fun and his group he went with are all great kids.
Here is to many more dances that I am sure Keion will be attending.
